Meret Wirth studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lucerne (Master of Law, graduation Spring 2014). During that time she also studied abroad at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, Philadelphia (USA). Following her studies, Meret Wirth did an internship at the Criminal Court of the Canton of Lucerne and worked as a trainee lawyer at a law firm in Ebikon (with a focus on family, social security, and criminal law). After being admitted to the bar in the Spring of 2017, she worked for a legal protection insurance company (with a focus on labor and social security law), where she was both an advisor and represented the interests of her policyholders in and out of court.
Since the beginning of August 2020, Meret Wirth has worked as a lawyer at Spühler Rechtsanwälte.
